Second Life Performance: Experiments in Embodiment

by Nina Simon last modified 2008-01-03 11:54

Experiments in Embodiment is a telematic collaborative performance by Manchester (UK) based artists Alan Hook (Alan Regent) and Peter Wardle (Guido Vandyke). In a series of interface interventions the two artists will interact with the audience and question how we choose to embody ourselves in Second Life.

Experiments in Embodiment splits the telematic presence into 3 main categories, physical, voice and text. These three performances create crossed wires between the two residents joining them and developing the avatar into a medium for manipulation and helping to question how we choose to use and connect to our online presences.

*It is advised that all attendees have voice enabled before attending for full interaction in the performance.
