Announcement:

The Tech Museum of Innovation wants you to present your projects! On Saturday May 23rd they will be hosting a Presentation at the Museum in Downtown San Jose. The best projects will be chosen to compete with others from all over the bay area. They will be looking for proposals that can be made into major projects under the umbrella of the Tech Virtual.

You will be asked to have one slide or use your page on the Tech Virtual to present your idea to the audience. This audience will include a panel consisting of Mei Lin from the Tech, Valerie Taylor from De Anza College, and Linda Alepin. They will be asking you a series of questions, and adding comments. You also will be taking questions from a wider audience. This presentation will be Live video streamed around the world! If that wasn't enough the winner of the best project will be awarded $100! Good Luck!

UN Millenium Goals and the Program for the Future

Posted by Mei Lin Fung at Apr 15, 2009 02:17 PM
Women leaders of tomorrow shine rays of hope for our global future by identifying problems that "if solved" could bring us closer to the UN Millennium goals to End Poverty by 2015

The Program for the Future is a Global Challenge to technologists and young people throughout the world to get together in teams to do their part to solve complex urgent problems. Posing the right problems is the first step. Making them compelling to others to solve is critical.

Global Women Leadership Network is showing the way forward: In this site, each fellow will be preparing for her posting and translating the HUGE goals of Universal Education, Child and Maternal Health, Global Partnership, Gender Equality, Combat HIV/Aids, Environmental Sustainability into concrete actual examples of problems that affect peoples lives every day.
