Museum Skills:
I am currently in my third year studying the emergent field of Museum and Gallery Studies. The skills which are most useful are that I am currently researching gaming history and the development of computer techonology in both enabling and influencing cultural output, and gained a first writing a essay on Guitar Hero and the contxt it has within phenomonolgy framworks. I have also co-curated an exhibition at my University which incorporated video installations, fashion, performance art and product design focusing on uniting different fields of study in one show. The concept of taking the museum/gallery exhibition space out of what we deem physical and placing it in an ideological and virtual "place" is one which I seek to explore over the coming year.
