You peer into a box and see a tiny, upright image of yourself inside.

The exhibit consists of a box you peer into. Inside is a large (both in diameter and f-number) lens and, behind it, a corner reflector. Both the lens and the corner reflector rotate an image by 180 degrees, so the resulting image is upright and not reflected (i.e. like looking at a photo, not a mirror image). Masks and backgrounds can be added optically to increase the "creepiness factor." The size of the image depends on the focal length of the lens and its position relative to the corner reflector, but would be much smaller than lifesize to keep the expenses within bounds. This could be a full size exhibit or a small item of the sort sold in the museum gift shop.
