To look at the gadgets that artists used historically to render objects in three dimensions. I am looking for someone to help with creating an interactive about CAD or a 3D modeling system our audience can do fairly easily.

No

Since the 15th Century, artists have invented a variety of devices to create the illusion of three dimensions on flat surfaces. There are three basic types of perspective machines. The first are used to render a 3D object (a model or physical item) onto a 2D surface from a particular viewing angle. The second are used to render a fictitious 3D object—one which can be imagined, but may not actually exist—onto a 2D surface. The third are used to render a 2D image onto a curved or otherwise distorted surface, such as a cathedral dome.
