Project Binary Clock
A new display for a binary clock is presented. New about the idea is the that it uses a geometrical, triangular display which is only possible because our system of time divisions is based on a sexagesimal system and the number of minutes in 12 hours equals the factorial of a natural number (720=6!). Project PaintSpace: Emergence - Using a 3D Paintbrush to create Generative Art, with a Vintage TV as the Interface
Interacting with a modified vintage wooden TV by touching the screen, moving the sliders and pushing the buttons, the user is able to control what can be considered to be a 3-Dimensional, multi-tipped paint brush which they are able to rotate it in 3D space, each tip leaving a trail of digital paint, to draw images of astonishing form and beauty which are essentially a compilation of views of the 3D paint brush from different perspectives.
Project Interactive (Strip Photography) Warping of Reality in a Digital Binocular Station
Users look through a 3D Stereoscopic Digital Binocular Station (www.DigitalBinocularStation.com) to see The Tech Museum Gallery as visualised using streak or strip photography - each vertical strip of pixels is interactively sampled from a different time of 3D perspective, creating a mind-bending, continuously changing perspective on the real world.
Project Visualising Sound Waves in a Digital Binocular Station
Users look through a 3D Stereoscopic Digital Binocular Station (www.DigitalBinocularStation.com) to see The Tech Museum Gallery, with an augmented reality version of an www.animusic.com animatronic orchestra playing the instruments within the real gallery space - when the user moves the station head to look at certain (glowing) instruments, their sound level comes up, the others quieten down, and the instrument’s sound would then be visualised as either wave-forms or compression-forms, flowing from the instrument.
Project Visible Synth
Visibly show how timbre and harmony are built up from simple sine waves
Project The Map of Your Face
