[2008/05/16 9:23]  jeremiad Jacobus: it's always past five somewhere
[2008/05/16 9:23]  Lydia Milner: dya mean voice or typing?

[2008/05/16 9:23]  You: maybe we should break out the wine
[2008/05/16 9:24]  jeremiad Jacobus: completing others' sentences in voice is often more rude than cute among strangers, but it's kinda eerie in text chat
[2008/05/16 9:24]  Lydia Milner: ooh good idea, I am about to put pizza in teh oven here
[2008/05/16 9:24]  Blue Peacock is Offline

[2008/05/16 9:25]  You: so the IMD stuff runs all day Sunday, and if any of you can drop in there should be a lot of international visitors to greet and show around

[2008/05/16 9:26]  Lydia Milner: I lef tit at my place, not in inventory
[2008/05/16 9:26]  Lydia Milner: oops
[2008/05/16 9:27]  Lydia Milner: left it
[2008/05/16 9:27]  You: also, they are looking for folks to do machinima, if any of you is interested.
[2008/05/16 9:27]  Lydia Milner: thats a good idea!
[2008/05/16 9:28]  You: garvie is our machinima expert, but she's not here
[2008/05/16 9:28]  Lydia Milner: have you IM'd Garvie? oh no she works weekends doesnt she
[2008/05/16 9:28]  Lydia Milner: lol
[2008/05/16 9:28]  You: I'll let her know anyway

[2008/05/16 9:30]  jeremiad Jacobus: lol will there be food there too?
[2008/05/16 9:30]  You: definitely
[2008/05/16 9:30]  jeremiad Jacobus: i have a one track mind
[2008/05/16 9:30]  jeremiad Jacobus: i live to eat
[2008/05/16 9:30]  Lydia Milner: :) is that being streamed in here too Stephe?
[2008/05/16 9:30]  Lydia Milner: lol
[2008/05/16 9:30]  You: yes, RL and SL
[2008/05/16 9:30]  Lydia Milner: cool
[2008/05/16 9:31]  You: Lydia will be here in RL for that
[2008/05/16 9:31]  Lydia Milner: :)
[2008/05/16 9:31]  Lydia Milner: I'm really excited about coming over and meeting everyone!
[2008/05/16 9:32]  jeremiad Jacobus: rosedale? i thought he quit ;)
[2008/05/16 9:32]  You: for the rezzer question, I still haven't found a scanner script to make sure exhibits are copy-safe and rezzer-safe
[2008/05/16 9:33]  Lydia Milner: no, I asked around and couldnt find anyone that thought that was possible either
[2008/05/16 9:33]  You: so what we may do is just proceed carefully, one exhibit at a time
[2008/05/16 9:34]  Wess Wexler: hi sorry i'm late
[2008/05/16 9:34]  You: Mars, do you know if rotations is all copy+
[2008/05/16 9:34]  You: hi, Wess
[2008/05/16 9:34]  Lydia Milner: goofd idea. if ppl take to inv 1st they will have a backup
[2008/05/16 9:34]  Mars Voyager: well, it might not be right now
[2008/05/16 9:35]  jeremiad Jacobus: it's such a pain to chase down all the permissions
[2008/05/16 9:35]  jeremiad Jacobus: backups, what a concept
[2008/05/16 9:35]  Mars Voyager: but me and Annie can make it that way
[2008/05/16 9:35]  Lydia Milner: hi wess :)
[2008/05/16 9:35]  You: hi weber
[2008/05/16 9:35]  You: join us
[2008/05/16 9:35]  jeremiad Jacobus: there's a 'second inventory' product that makes local backups
[2008/05/16 9:36]  jeremiad Jacobus: but it requires a libsl hack running on your local machine, and *you* must be able to copy your stuff for it to work
[2008/05/16 9:36]  Mars Voyager: I'm not sure if I've understood the problem with the rezzer
[2008/05/16 9:36]  jeremiad Jacobus: sigh
[2008/05/16 9:37]  jeremiad Jacobus: ;-) welcome to the club
[2008/05/16 9:37]  Wess Wexler: I've got a rezzer but i haven't used it yet
[2008/05/16 9:37]  Wess Wexler: sorry cant be any help
[2008/05/16 9:37]  You: the pb is if a 300-object exhibit contains just 1 item that is not copyable, the rezzer will disappear it
[2008/05/16 9:37]  You: zap
[2008/05/16 9:38]  Mars Voyager: sure it has to be copyable
[2008/05/16 9:38]  Wess Wexler: loose it completely - delete it?
[2008/05/16 9:38]  You: yes
[2008/05/16 9:38]  Mars Voyager: thats what the rezzer should do, take a copy and rez that
[2008/05/16 9:38]  jeremiad Jacobus: i hate it when that happens
[2008/05/16 9:38]  You: so backups are good!
[2008/05/16 9:38]  jeremiad Jacobus: like western civilization
[2008/05/16 9:38]  Mars Voyager: but this doesn't mean that visitors can take copies of the objects
[2008/05/16 9:39]  You: Also, to make the rezzer work, you need to drop a script in the root prim of each ovject
[2008/05/16 9:39]  jeremiad Jacobus: pain in the butt
[2008/05/16 9:39]  Wess Wexler: yep i see
[2008/05/16 9:39]  Mars Voyager: Thats unavoidable, but can be limited if the exhibits are linked
[2008/05/16 9:40]  You: exactly, which is a good idea anyway ;-)
[2008/05/16 9:40]  Lydia Milner: surely the exhb can be linked as one item as its within 30ms
[2008/05/16 9:40]  CarlaICOM Bosatsu: just turn around with the arrows
[2008/05/16 9:41]  Lydia Milner: or is there a limit ons cripts and stuff?
[2008/05/16 9:41]  Mars Voyager: well, our exhibit must be in several parts
[2008/05/16 9:41]  Lydia Milner: ah ok
[2008/05/16 9:42]  Mars Voyager: but we can handle that
[2008/05/16 9:42]  Lydia Milner: i have done some testing with the rezzer and Stephe has amended the instructions so they are very claer, and it didnt take long at all
[2008/05/16 9:42]  Mars Voyager: still its a must requirement that the exhibits are copyable, no way around that
[2008/05/16 9:43]  You: fraid not
[2008/05/16 9:43]  Mars Voyager: I guess people might get problems with some textures
[2008/05/16 9:43]  You: and they must be transfer+, so you can give it to me to put in the rezzer
[2008/05/16 9:44]  Mars Voyager: right
[2008/05/16 9:45]  jeremiad Jacobus: that's just not practical in all situations
[2008/05/16 9:45]  Mars Voyager: ok, have you installed the Kiosk somewhere?
[2008/05/16 9:45]  You: not yet, but we will put several in the museum upstairs
[2008/05/16 9:46]  You: so maybe visitors and kiosks are 1:1
[2008/05/16 9:46]  Mars Voyager: oh
[2008/05/16 9:47]  Mars Voyager: and one exhibit per kiosk?
[2008/05/16 9:47]  jeremiad Jacobus: what is the reasoning behind rezzing exhibits on demand? real estate prices?
[2008/05/16 9:47]  You: actually we might but all the exhibits in each rezzer
[2008/05/16 9:47]  Mars Voyager: people should be made aware of this
[2008/05/16 9:48]  You: the rezzing is b/c of the load on the sim
[2008/05/16 9:48]  Mars Voyager: script communictation might clash
[2008/05/16 9:48]  jeremiad Jacobus: ok
[2008/05/16 9:48]  You: ah, good point, Mars
[2008/05/16 9:48]  jeremiad Jacobus: perhaps it would be enough to set scripts run/not run on demand
[2008/05/16 9:49]  jeremiad Jacobus: or by proximity
[2008/05/16 9:49]  You: how far apart would the rezzers need to be to avoid that?
[2008/05/16 9:49]  Mars Voyager: depends on the script
[2008/05/16 9:49]  Mars Voyager: some communicate over a whole region
[2008/05/16 9:49]  jeremiad Jacobus: rezzers are the spawn of he devil
[2008/05/16 9:49]  jeremiad Jacobus: the
[2008/05/16 9:49]  You: I'm beginning to agree, Jeremiad
[2008/05/16 9:50]  Lydia Milner: lol
[2008/05/16 9:50]  Wess Wexler: r u using them as a space saver?
[2008/05/16 9:50]  jeremiad Jacobus: it was one of the first words i ever heard in sl, and i still don't get it
[2008/05/16 9:50]  Wess Wexler: or are there other technical reasons
[2008/05/16 9:51]  jeremiad Jacobus: sim load is the ostensible rationale, says stephe, wess
[2008/05/16 9:51]  Wess Wexler: or just because the idea is cool?
[2008/05/16 9:51]  LysaICOM Laks is Online
[2008/05/16 9:51]  Mars Voyager: prim count I guess is one important factor
[2008/05/16 9:51]  Wess Wexler: ahh OK keeps total prim count down?
[2008/05/16 9:51]  You: prim count, too
[2008/05/16 9:52]  Wess Wexler: yes i see why
[2008/05/16 9:52]  You: at the peak, with 30-some exhibits in here, we had less than 50 prims headroom
[2008/05/16 9:52]  jeremiad Jacobus: ;-) buy more
[2008/05/16 9:52]  You: now, with some removed, it's like 300
[2008/05/16 9:52]  Wess Wexler: wow that is close
[2008/05/16 9:53]  jeremiad Jacobus: oooh a whole 1500 still free here now
[2008/05/16 9:54]  You: we could buy a new island, but still, in 2-3 years and 3-4 more exhibitions, we would keep having problems
[2008/05/16 9:54]  jeremiad Jacobus: in 2-3 years moore's law will have quite an effect on capacity
[2008/05/16 9:55]  Lydia Milner: You could buy a few sims and now rent the to other museusm, in teh future boot them/cancel lease and use fro yourselves.
[2008/05/16 9:55]  Lydia Milner: or, keep renting spcae if by then a better solution is found
[2008/05/16 9:55]  jeremiad Jacobus: in 2-3 years any sim you buy will be soooo obsolete
[2008/05/16 9:55]  jeremiad Jacobus: even in 2 or three months
[2008/05/16 9:55]  jeremiad Jacobus: ;-)
[2008/05/16 9:56]  Bjorlyn Loon is Offline
[2008/05/16 9:56]  jeremiad Jacobus: in fact, the tech is a prime candidate for building its own opensim server
[2008/05/16 9:56]  You: hi, Lysa come join us
[2008/05/16 9:56]  jeremiad Jacobus: why buy the cow when you get the milk for free?
[2008/05/16 9:56]  You: and tell these folks about IMD
[2008/05/16 9:56]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: Hi Rob
[2008/05/16 9:56]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: Are you around
[2008/05/16 9:56]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: I'm lost in a hallway

[2008/05/16 9:57]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: our president is doing her "tutorial"
[2008/05/16 9:57]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: with Carla & Jehanne
[2008/05/16 9:57]  Disconnected from in-world Voice Chat

[2008/05/16 9:58]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: Sure! Who are they?
[2008/05/16 9:58]  Lydia Milner: heya :)

[2008/05/16 9:59]  Lydia Milner: Wess are you anything to do with Plymouth Uni?
[2008/05/16 9:59]  jeremiad Jacobus: let's get this party started!
[2008/05/16 10:00]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: OK
[2008/05/16 10:00]  IM: LysaICOM Laks: I'll just say a word and then go.
[2008/05/16 10:00]  Wess Wexler: no I'm at Loughborough (near Nottingham)
[2008/05/16 10:00]  Lydia Milner: ah ok
[2008/05/16 10:00]  jeremiad Jacobus: hey, nice boots garvie
[2008/05/16 10:00]  Garvie Garzo: thx

[2008/05/16 10:06]  Garvie Garzo: sucks
[2008/05/16 10:06]  Wess Wexler: where r u getting your newbies from?
[2008/05/16 10:07]  Lydia Milner: bye Mars, take care :)
[2008/05/16 10:07]  jeremiad Jacobus: lol the lord must love newbies, she made so many of them
[2008/05/16 10:07]  Wess Wexler: are they undergrads?
[2008/05/16 10:07]  Lydia Milner: I tihnk most of the museuem reps are new to SL
[2008/05/16 10:07]  Garvie Garzo: lol
[2008/05/16 10:07]  Wess Wexler: hee hee
[2008/05/16 10:07]  Garvie Garzo: undergrads?
[2008/05/16 10:08]  You: the world is full of newbies
[2008/05/16 10:08]  Lydia Milner: hey... were all newbies at something somewhere :)
[2008/05/16 10:08]  You: there's one born every second
[2008/05/16 10:08]  Wess Wexler: yep the newbies you are training are they from all over or from a specific place
[2008/05/16 10:08]  jeremiad Jacobus: look! there goes one now!
[2008/05/16 10:08]  Bjorlyn Loon is Online
[2008/05/16 10:09]  Wess Wexler: i ask as i'm running a seminar soon and getting newbies to sign up is a problem
[2008/05/16 10:09]  Garvie Garzo: what's the seminar?
[2008/05/16 10:09]  Lydia Milner: oh ok what is your seiminar on?
[2008/05/16 10:09]  jeremiad Jacobus: the most important learning curve for newbies to get over is to find a friend
[2008/05/16 10:09]  jeremiad Jacobus: this is, of course, problematic
[2008/05/16 10:09]  Wess Wexler: its to introduce Higer ed. engineering academics to SL
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Garvie Garzo: excellent
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Garvie Garzo: any particulardiscipline?
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Wess Wexler: they dont tend to be interested
[2008/05/16 10:10]  You: that reminds me: bring a frriend to the Tech
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Garvie Garzo: tell me about it
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Wess Wexler: as it doesn't seem to offer them anything
[2008/05/16 10:10]  jeremiad Jacobus: ewww they are the last ones we want to see
[2008/05/16 10:10]  You: to work on our next exhibit UcanTu
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Garvie Garzo: yet..
[2008/05/16 10:10]  Wess Wexler: lol
[2008/05/16 10:10]  jeremiad Jacobus: the supply of higher ed engineering academics is limited
[2008/05/16 10:10]  jeremiad Jacobus: thank god
[2008/05/16 10:11]  Wess Wexler: those who have signed up have already made the leap
[2008/05/16 10:11]  Garvie Garzo: what's a 'engineering academic'?
[2008/05/16 10:11]  jeremiad Jacobus: no offense, stephe
[2008/05/16 10:11]  Wess Wexler: into SL
[2008/05/16 10:11]  Garvie Garzo: a teacher ofengineering?
[2008/05/16 10:11]  jeremiad Jacobus: lol stephe qualifies
[2008/05/16 10:11]  jeremiad Jacobus: but stephe is the exception that proves the rule
[2008/05/16 10:11]  Wess Wexler: yep Garvie can be mechanical environmental civil
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Wess Wexler: #
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Wess Wexler: etc.
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Garvie Garzo: you'd think civil would be mildly interested
[2008/05/16 10:12]  jeremiad Jacobus: i have a million 'engineer' jokes
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Garvie Garzo: it's a good design platform at least
[2008/05/16 10:12]  You: quite a few architects have adopted SL for their teaching
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Wess Wexler: me to but they have 3D visulisation tools already
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Garvie Garzo: but not many REAL engineering problems
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Wess Wexler: i collect engineer jokes!
[2008/05/16 10:12]  You: what gets them is 2 words: "free materials"
[2008/05/16 10:12]  Wess Wexler: seroisly on my website
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Garvie Garzo: lol
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Garvie Garzo: i collect philosophy jokes
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Wess Wexler: sorry garvie
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Lydia Milner: but even if they dont like the physics of the place they can get together with like minds form around the world that they woudl not otherwise have a forum for idea sharing with
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Wess Wexler: philosophy jokes - easy
[2008/05/16 10:13]  jeremiad Jacobus: You might be an engineer if . . .
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Garvie Garzo: dare ya
[2008/05/16 10:13]  You: we need jokes
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Garvie Garzo: tech jokes?
[2008/05/16 10:13]  Wess Wexler: yep i agree lydia the social aspect is the big benefit
[2008/05/16 10:14]  Lydia Milner: i tihnk the ou runs a group in SL for social rather than anything else, they may have some hints on getting ppl intesrteted
[2008/05/16 10:14]  Wess Wexler: it would be nice to show some hardcore engineering in SL
[2008/05/16 10:14]  jeremiad Jacobus: the biggest ;-) having fun and the social networking aspects of sl are the other things that set it apart fro0m the rest
[2008/05/16 10:14]  Wess Wexler: yep i know elsa dickens who runs their island
[2008/05/16 10:15]  Lydia Milner: another sim in scilands is building a nuclear reactor in here
[2008/05/16 10:15]  You: NOAA has done some pretty cool stuff
[2008/05/16 10:15]  Wess Wexler: yep i've just been in touch with those 2 nuke guys
[2008/05/16 10:15]  Wess Wexler: got an im haven't read it yet!
[2008/05/16 10:15]  You: there is a map of the US with real weather
[2008/05/16 10:16]  jeremiad Jacobus: content is not king. the most subtle aspects of the platform are very important.
[2008/05/16 10:16]  Wess Wexler: sorry my son is raiding the larder behind me...
[2008/05/16 10:16]  Lydia Milner: Wess hve you looked around the rest of scilands or www.scilands.org
[2008/05/16 10:16]  Lydia Milner: yeah, when you're on the coimputer they get up to all kinds :)
[2008/05/16 10:16]  You: and a globe with all kinds of data mapped on it : fisheries, pollution, population, etc
[2008/05/16 10:17]  You: look for Second Earth
[2008/05/16 10:17]  Garvie Garzo: maybe they'd be interested in some ofthe Ucan Tu technologies and how to represent them
[2008/05/16 10:17]  Wess Wexler: thx stephe will check it out
[2008/05/16 10:17]  Garvie Garzo: they could prototype stuff for RL builds
[2008/05/16 10:17]  jeremiad Jacobus: thank you stephe, yes
[2008/05/16 10:17]  Wess Wexler: ?
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Wess Wexler: wot is ucantu
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Garvie Garzo: wanna a URL?
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Wess Wexler: yep please
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Lydia Milner: wess see www.thetechvirtual.org/projects
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Lydia Milner: ucantu stand for you can too
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Lydia Milner: the latest SL to RL exhibit prototypin that the Tech is carrying out here
[2008/05/16 10:18]  Wess Wexler: i met someone who had done some work with inworld physics but when the SIM went to havoc 4 they stopped working
[2008/05/16 10:18]  jeremiad Jacobus accepted your inventory offer.
[2008/05/16 10:19]  Wess Wexler accepted your inventory offer.
[2008/05/16 10:19]  Lydia Milner: museum exhibits are designed around a seletion of 21 winners of tech awards
[2008/05/16 10:19]  Lydia Milner: which are RL award for design/innovation that benefits humanity
[2008/05/16 10:19]  Wess Wexler: thx GG
[2008/05/16 10:19]  Garvie Garzo: np
[2008/05/16 10:19]  Garvie Garzo: i paste well :)
[2008/05/16 10:20]  You: well, folks, shall we call it a wrap?
[2008/05/16 10:20]  Wess Wexler: SL to RL - tell me more
[2008/05/16 10:20]  Lydia Milner: look aroudn you, here sre some of the winning exhbs for the first SL to RL, art film and music
[2008/05/16 10:20]  Wess Wexler: thx lydia
[2008/05/16 10:20]  Garvie Garzo: ok.. well we build exhibits HERE hopingthat they will be reinterpreted or modelled in RL atthe tech
[2008/05/16 10:20]  Garvie Garzo: so farso good
[2008/05/16 10:20]  Lydia Milner: we design and prototpye the exhbs here and some are selcted to be built in RL at the REAL Tech in California
[2008/05/16 10:21]  Wess Wexler: i will thx engineer is my job art and SL are my interest!:)
[2008/05/16 10:21]  Lydia Milner: there are of course some diferences between sl and rl from a trehnical point of view, but thats parts of the fun
[2008/05/16 10:21]  You: and we hope in future to get other museums involved, too
[2008/05/16 10:21]  You: maybe through ICOM
[2008/05/16 10:21]  Lydia Milner: yes, last night there was a brainstorming/buidling sesion with New York Hall of Science who
[2008/05/16 10:21]  Wess Wexler: i think its agreat idea i guess the diff is the fun
[2008/05/16 10:22]  Lydia Milner: wanted ideas fr a new exhib for 4-12 yr olds about light and shadow
[2008/05/16 10:22]  Garvie Garzo: damn sorry i messed that
[2008/05/16 10:22]  Lydia Milner: of course ther eare no real shadows in SL but we got a lot of ideas down and still maanbged to prototype some ideas without the use of any shadow
[2008/05/16 10:22]  Lydia Milner: yes it was really good, very open and ideas bouncing aorund
[2008/05/16 10:22]  You: making open source museum exhibits
[2008/05/16 10:22]  jeremiad Jacobus: there are shadows
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Garvie Garzo: you can fake or bake em anyway..
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Garvie Garzo: butthere are no cast shadows here
[2008/05/16 10:23]  jeremiad Jacobus: yes there are
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Garvie Garzo: butthere is shade
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Wess Wexler: could shadows be done with a HUD?
[2008/05/16 10:23]  jeremiad Jacobus: well, ok, reflections on water
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Garvie Garzo: no, i don'tthink
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Garvie Garzo: yes, reflections are more like shade
[2008/05/16 10:23]  Wess Wexler: and flexible prims?
[2008/05/16 10:24]  Lydia Milner: so Wess back to your point, you can maybe get a group of eng techies in here to solve a problem or review a theory from diff parts of the world and they could bounce it around with buidling and protyping
[2008/05/16 10:24]  Lydia Milner: not real physics and all that but open and invigiroating all the same
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Lydia Milner: and a darn sight easier and cheaper than flying your ass around the world to a conference just to talk to someone whose paper you liked :)
[2008/05/16 10:25]  jeremiad Jacobus: cascio at his stanford talk described sl as 'more real than real' and he certainly wasn't talking about physics
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Garvie Garzo: good point
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Wess Wexler: yep!
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Lydia Milner: lol yes
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Draxtor Despres is Offline
[2008/05/16 10:25]  LysaICOM Laks has ended the call.  You will now be reconnected to spatial voice chat.
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Connecting to in-world Voice Chat...
[2008/05/16 10:25]  Connected
[2008/05/16 10:25]  jeremiad Jacobus: i like flying my ass around in sl
[2008/05/16 10:25]  You: i've attended a lot of conferences that were less interactive that a meeting in SL!
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Wess Wexler: lol
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Lydia Milner: hahaha v good point Stephe
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Wess Wexler: r u guys all at plymouth?
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Lydia Milner: thats what Davee commerce said to me too
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Garvie Garzo: plymouth?
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Lydia Milner: no all about
[2008/05/16 10:26]  jeremiad Jacobus: i've gone on dates that were less interactive
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Garvie Garzo: u of?
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Lydia Milner: I am in Plmyouth England
[2008/05/16 10:26]  You: lol
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Garvie Garzo: ah
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Garvie Garzo: no, i'm in canada
[2008/05/16 10:26]  Wess Wexler: how3 about u JJ
[2008/05/16 10:27]  Lydia Milner: Wess if you know Plymouth I am about 8 mins from the uni, behind the museum :)
[2008/05/16 10:27]  jeremiad Jacobus: i'm only about fifty miles from the tech museum, actually
[2008/05/16 10:27]  Lydia Milner: aah, hence the 100f
[2008/05/16 10:27]  jeremiad Jacobus: ;-) too far to walk. or fly.
[2008/05/16 10:28]  You: close enough to make the conference on June 4, maybe?
[2008/05/16 10:28]  Wess Wexler: sorry JJ not with u?
[2008/05/16 10:28]  Wess Wexler: near plymouth?
[2008/05/16 10:28]  Garvie Garzo: he's nearthe RL tech
[2008/05/16 10:28]  Garvie Garzo: in san jose
[2008/05/16 10:28]  Lydia Milner: This is the virtual arepsresentation of the real tech museum
[2008/05/16 10:28]  Lydia Milner: which is in san jose california
[2008/05/16 10:29]  Wess Wexler: ahh OK
[2008/05/16 10:29]  Wess Wexler: r u there too stephe?
[2008/05/16 10:29]  You: yup
[2008/05/16 10:29]  Lydia Milner: young Stephe here works at both, perhaps he gets a virutal salary, hopefully not in both lol
[2008/05/16 10:29]  You: I spend all my Lindens on virtual pizza
[2008/05/16 10:29]  Garvie Garzo: lol
[2008/05/16 10:29]  Lydia Milner: hahaha
[2008/05/16 10:29]  Wess Wexler: lol
[2008/05/16 10:30]  Garvie Garzo: i buy clothes
[2008/05/16 10:30]  jeremiad Jacobus: stephe needs more clothes
