[10:02]  Agent Heliosense: so, we have greatly expanded the area we can use for designing

[10:05]  Agent Heliosense: so we will be able to set aside parcels for media, and have many more prims
[10:05]  Seafore Perl: I see. Didn't know if they came out just flat, or a standard beginning terraform.
[10:05]  Agent Heliosense: I've seen both, usually there is a choice of 4 starting islands thought that are not flat
[10:05]  Seafore Perl: Extra prim are always a nice luxury!

[10:14]  Agent Heliosense: great, so we have upcoming exhibitions on "Art-Film-Music-Games"

[10:14]  Agent Heliosense: so members will be designing exhibits based around this exhibition
[10:15]  Agent Heliosense: some of the exhibits from the previous "Art-Film-Music-Games" round are in this room
[10:16]  Agent Heliosense: by the time we start that, the new sim will be the primary space for building exhibits, and this sim will be used for more completed exhibits and installations
[10:18]  Agent Heliosense: there will also be a machinima component to this and likely contest, and if you've been here last few weeks
[10:18]  Agent Heliosense: you know that this is all being developed by the curators so
[10:18]  Agent Heliosense: it's a "coming soon" thing but what you can do is
[10:19]  Agent Heliosense: participate in the building and grounds project, join the site, and also sandbox ideas you may have

[10:22]  Qion Ning: its about lots of avatars claming a little piece of land.. and building stuff there
[10:22]  Qion Ning: and after a week everything is gon again..

[10:23]  Seafore Perl: It does sound interesting. Called Burning Life in sl, a virtual recreation of the Burning Man festival that takes place in rl.

[10:35]  Agent Heliosense: the dept. of building and grounds is a little kit I thought might be interesteing to use for designing new sim areas

[10:37]  Seafore Perl: Make things, buildings, art, terraforming etc.
[10:38]  Agent Heliosense: because I'm working on a way to maybe have a science museum like gift or hobby shop, think Discovery Stores and the like

[10:42]  Ethelred Weatherwax: My current museum is the Neenah Historical Society in Wisconsin. We have a special display right now on the Octagon House building fad of the 1850s

[10:49]  Agent Heliosense: ok seafore, also, you can use SL name in all fields if you are not interested in using RL name

[10:50]  Seafore Perl: I'll think about names. I'm ok with rl names. As artist there is a certain amount of overlap between worlds.

[10:51]  Agent Heliosense: on our site, you can change your name or avatar name

[10:51]  Agent Heliosense: some folks I know don't want to use their RL name that's why i mention
[10:52]  Agent Heliosense: it shouldn't stop anyone from signing up
[10:52]  Seafore Perl: I presumed you didn't mean island, that we could go over there and get our terraforming kicks!
[10:52]  Agent Heliosense: we had winners from contests that only used SL names.
[10:52]  Seafore Perl: I see. I'll think that aspect of it over.
[10:52]  Qion Ning: i unly use sl name
[10:53]  Qion Ning: dont wanna mix it..
[10:53]  Qion Ning: not now at least..
[10:53]  Seafore Perl: Understandable. There's a certain amount of risk in that.
[10:53]  Qion Ning: but it mixes anyway a little bit
[10:54]  Seafore Perl: Difficult not to with human entities at keyboards.
[10:54]  Agent Heliosense: sure, I think it would add well to a designer's resume, for example
[10:54]  Seafore Perl: True. And artist's portfolio.
[10:55]  Agent Heliosense: to be involved with it. We connect to the outside world, making the best matched exhibit designs into "real" exhibits.
[10:55]  Seafore Perl: A very intersting concept.
[10:56]  Seafore Perl: Probably a challenge in replicating some of the concepts into the rl environment.
[10:57]  Agent Heliosense: yes it usually requires some translation
[10:58]  Agent Heliosense: that's why this program is great for beginning or advanced builders alike.
[10:58]  Seafore Perl: Question. When you recreate sl exhibit into rl, do you maintain same size or shrink down a bit (being as how most things in sl are made oversized).
[10:58]  Agent Heliosense: because it's mostly about theexhibit concept
[10:59]  Seafore Perl: Concept is most important element to transport through the membrane between worlds.
[11:00]  Agent Heliosense: it's highly variable Seafore, probably the SL exhibits are about 10% bigger than their measurements
[11:00]  Seafore Perl: Are there some in here that were recreated in sl?
[11:00]  Agent Heliosense: but for example the musical chairs exhibit behind me is in it's own round room in the Tech Museum
[11:00]  Seafore Perl: Sorry, in rl?
[11:01]  Agent Heliosense: yes, musical chairs, and wikisonic, and revisioning San Jose
[11:02]  Agent Heliosense: also, history of midi here, I've taken some photos still working on uploading them
