How Can I Help?

Help with this year's challenge
- Let people know about the Program for the Future Challenge.
- If you know of a great collective intelligence tool in some domain, nominate it for the Challenge or encourage its creators to submit it themselves to the Challenge.
- Propose a problem in a field of interest that is ripe for a collective intelligence tool to facilitate it.
- Look at existing projects and add comments, suggestions.
- If you have created a tool yourself, propose it for the challenge!
- If you have proposed a tool, recruit people for your team. Post a help wanted notice.
- Join
an existing demo team to add your expertise (e.g. programming or other
technical skills, non-technical skills such as domain knowledge, use
case testing, demo design, etc.). Look at the Help Wanted notices.
Help with financial support
- Help with fundraising for prizes and next year's conference.
- Sponsor a prize.
- Support the development of software tools to improve collective intelligence through, e.g., Google's Summer of Code, hackathons, sprints, Super Happy Dev Houses, etc.
Help with networking
- Build bridges and forge alliances between Program for the Future and other groups working for the same goals.
- Nominate someone to serve on the Program for the Future advisory board, or as a judge for the challenge.
Help document this endeavor
- Create e-learning courses or, e.g., MIT-OpenCourseWare content explaining collective intelligence and Engelbart's vision.
- Be a mentor for Challenge participants.
- Help Challenge teams in the area of virtual collaboration.
- Collect and organize media from the conference as well as suggestions made there.
- Help
build a library of tools, documents, videos, e-learning materials, etc.
related to collective intelligence in different fields.
- Help curate this library, or help people use it to find what they are looking for.
- Propose entries for MIT's Handbook of Collective Intelligence
Other
- Suggest other ways to move this program forward.
