Design guide for new sim located south of The Tech

Basic design guide (in progress):
1.) Sim will be located south of The Tech sim. Consider methods of attachment (ex: continuous grass, bridge etc.)
2.) Sim should be laid out to allow maximum use of space for exhibit designers inside sectioned 8m x 8m areas (64 square meters).
3.) Layout should reflect that these designs may be grouped according to exhibitions or topic within exhibitions(ex. UcanTu/Art-Film-Music-Games)
4.) "Permanent" building to occupy <25% of total sim area. Permanent building will not be a replica of a real building.
5.) Consider landmark aids to navigation as well as smaller socially conducive areas. (Exammple from Dancers Yao: I enjoyed the open atmoshpere of the first Tech museum, it was called The Garage....had places for people to set and talk about the internet revolution, this was in 1990! but I woulkd like ro see that same excitement in the sim......a new begininng for the next internet expression.)
6.) Additional sandbox area <20% of total sim area.
7.) Parkside Hall in The Tech sim to be converted from workshop to permanent exhibition space.
8.) Architectural considerations: virtual, low prim usage, complimentary to The Tech sim and adjacent sims.
9.) Consider flexibility - we may wish to reconfigure areas depending on needs.
9.) Consider names as well!
10.) Time frame: Sim expected to be in use late Sept.2008 (estimated).

SIM ideas added by Dancers Yao 09/09/08:
1.Tech Designer Loft spaces (Inside area)  People who decide to work on a project might enjoy having a space where they and their team members could meet that is simply for the brainstorming, creative part of the design process.  I found the Tech wiki difficult for faster interaction, and Parkside Hall and/or Sandbox is more for building time.
But to share or have a private online space that is just to imagine, to relax and create for fun, perhaps designers could share uploaded pictures of what they find inspiring and decorate their space with them, so along with MySpace or Facebook, you have TechSpaces!   People might rent this space, or have it as a perk for being involved.

2.Imagine the Future Tech (Outside area)  A place to discuss the future and see images of the Tech in the past when it all started in Silicon Valley. Then what is happening now, both online and in real life, and what could happen in the future, such as will AI surpass human intelligence.

For both places, want to work on disability access, new ways designers might work on a Tech virtual exhibit who have a disability.
