Our new exhibition: UcanTu

by tina blaine last modified 2008-06-14 13:05

The next exhibition at The Tech will feature many ways that technology benefits humanity: highlighting innovations of global impact that have been selected over the last seven years in the Tech Awards program. The name of the exhibition, UcanTu (You Can TOO) is also one of its intended inspirational take-away messages. Each exhibit will showcase an award-winning technology from one of the following categories: Health, Education, Environment, Economic Development, and Equality.

These exhibits will be displayed in the setting of an urban marketplace, which will include a school (to create context for the educational technologies), a farmers market (for technologies related to food and agriculture), a bank (for economic development programs), a health clinic (for medical devices), a park (for environmental innovations) and a community center (for equality and social justice projects).

We are inviting YOU, the Tech Virtual exhibit designers, to choose one of the award-winning innovations and develop an interactive exhibit to highlight one of these technologies. Click on one of the exhibition areas below to see the relevant technologies, or browse the whole list and then start your own project. For more information, see the UcanTu FAQ come to the weekly UcanTu meetings (Tuesday @ 10 AM SLTĀ  at the Fountain in Second Life) or look at the transcripts of past meetings.
